Palm back the game with touchscreen Pre, WebOS

Palm was under serious pressure to hit a home run.
Running Palm's gorgeous (if belated) new platform, dubbed WebOS, the touchscreen Pre could well be Palm's savior, and perhaps its biggest hit.So, as for the Pre itself . It's got a big, 3.1-inch 480 by 320 touch display (yes, with multitouch and an accelerometer), weighs in at 4.8 ounces, and comes with a curved, slide-out keypad. Yes, it does Wi-Fi and 3G (EV-DO Rev. A, to be exact), as well as GPS , stereo Bluetooth, 8GB of internal storage, a 3MP camera, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a removable battery.

But the key to the Pre is its OS, and WebOS—previously code-named "Nova"—is one of the hottest mobile platforms I've seen yet, rivaling both Android and Apple's iPhone OS.

At a glance, WebOS doesn't look all that different from the icon-driven, touch-based Android and iPhone platforms, complete with a row of icons along the bottom for your standard e-mail, calendar, and calling features.

More importantly, though, is WebOS's way of letting you handle and sort all your open applications like a deck of cards. If you're composing an e-mail, for example, you can flick up, call open a new application, and then return to your e-mail at any point. All open applications appear as windows , and you can flick back and forth, reorder them, and discard them at will.

WebOS also introduces a concept dubbed "Synergy," which all applications can continuously get info from the Web. The best example: WebOS's unified contact list, which seamlessly displays all your contacts and grab their e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and IM handles from Facebook, Gmail, Exchange, you name it.

And then there's the WebOS "Dashboard": a flexible space at the bottom of the screen for calling, messaging, and appointment alerts. As you're working in other applications, you might see the first line of a text message or IM, or the Dashboard might open a bit bigger for a calendar alert, complete with "dismiss" and "snooze" options. When alerts appear, you're free to keep working in your open application, or you can go ahead and open the alert—and if you want to answer an IM, you can swipe to that "card" in WebOS, and then return to your previous application card. Great stuff.

A few other interesting notes: Pre's main screen, you can just start typing on the QWERTY keypad to call up a universal search menu; you'll instantly see any matching contacts, or you can quickly jump to Web results from Google, Google Maps, and Wikipedia.

"Touchstone," a little hockey puck of an accessory with a killer feature—wireless charging. Just place the Pre on top of the Touchstone device to power it up.

Writing your Resume

Do's and Don'ts

Smilies.
This is a professional application, not a social networkings, like friendster ot the like profile. Smilies make you look childish and silly.

Cutesy graphics, overly fonts and layouts.
You want to be seen as a professional, not a child. The point is to get the resume read. There are many good sample of resume layouts online.

Gigantic photos of yourself.
You're trying to get hired, not sneered at; if your photo is particularly silly you may find it scanned and posted on the Internet.

Fancy paper.
Colored, scented, textured, etc.;  Clean white coupon bond is the best for readability.

The use of all caps.
"(i.e, GENERAL manager of golf club") or the unnecessary capitalization of certain letters and intercapping ("Presedent of The StudenT BodY). It's not a text message.

Text abbreviations.
Again, you want to be a professional; nobody in their right mind would hire someone who writes this: "N college I wnt t spcl trng sklls."

Things to remember when writing your resume

The resume is meant to present as a professional, not a friend. Do not be cute, and never lie to look better, because HR managers can, and often do, share information.

Be sure to edit your resume for grammar and spelling. Bad grammar, and misspelling the name of your school, for example, is always taken against you.

Include a cover letter, which should never ever exceed one page.

Keep your resume to two pages or less.

Always give your references a copy of your resume and tell them as a references; never blindside a person by listing them then not informing them.

Do not put a date on your resume (i.e., "Updated January 2, 2009") because if your search for a job takes longer than a month, hiring personnel will assume your resume is outdated and will tend to overlook it.

Include the following data about yourself: how you can be contacted (landline, cellphone, email) and avoid including height, weight, religion, comments aboout your health, etc.

World's Oldest Woman dies at 115

The world'soldest woman who lived to see five of her great-great grandchildren born, has dies at 115.
Maria se Jesus died in an ambulance near the central Portuguese town of Tomar, town council officials said.
She is a Guiness Book of World Records as the World's oldest woman. That Title now falls to American,114 years old Gertrude Baines, who live in Los Angeles Nursing Home.
Maria de Jesus was born in September 10, 1893, and wedowed at 57, outlived three of her six children, had 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
On friday she was taken to hospital because of swelling, after she ate her breakfast normally according to her daughter Maria Madalena. De Jesus was 115 years and 144 days old.
According to Dr. Stephen Coles a gerontologist of the Gerontology Research Group at the University of California, Los Angeles, there are 82 women and 9 men verified being 110 or older. But he said there could be hundreds more in places like China, India, or Africa where they would not have caught the attention of the Gerontology Research Group, a small volunteer that tracks supercentenarians and verifies their birth dates through birth certificates and other documents.
Coles said the supercentenarians appear to share one trait that might account for their longevity- they come from families whose members are longlived.
"Whether they drink alcohol or not, it doesn't matter. Whether they smoke cigarettes or not, doesn't seem to matter," he said. "The thing that does seem to matter is that they chose their parents wisely." "It's in the genes. It's in the DNA," he said.
The new title holder of the World's oldest woman was Baines, born in Georgia on April 6, 1894. Her only daughter died at age 18. She spent most of her life in Ohio, worked as a housekeeper at Ohio State University in Columbus, Coles said. Coles asked the staff at Western Convalescent Hospital to tell Baines she is now the oldest living documented woman in the world.
"She is very healthy. Her only complaint, is arthritis in her left knee," She uses wheel chair, he said. "Baines was mentally sharp, saying " she doesn't forget anything."

Baines voted her last November Presidential Election, the Los Angeles Times reported.

PTC SCAM

What is PTC?

PTC is not an Autosurf, MLM, Get-Quick-Rich scheme, Ponzi scheme, Pyramid, Matrix, etc..

PTC means Paid-to-Click ads.

PTC is one of the Internet base work from Home

You will be paid by clicking the ads of a PTC site.

Some says its a scam, but I will say Yes and No, Why? because there are legitimate PTC sites tha are really paying their member. But there are more Scam than Legitimate one.

Now lit me explain alittle on how to determine if the PTC site is a scam, this sign is one effective way to determine if the PTC site is a scam site or not..

Try to look at the main page, how simple they create a site, if the site is look like very simple that they did not exert an effort to design it for good, but they just design it for scamming only, the visual appearance can really affect the site if it is a scam,.

Try to look for their FORUM, you can see their forum in the main page at the top or at the bottom.
Read the content of their forum, try to analize the message, if there is a proof of payment , or there are more negative posting from their member than positive, try to look if the Admin is active in the forum. If there is a forum but the admin is not active then the site might probably a scam..

Read their Terms of Service (TOS) , and their Frequently Ask Question (FAQ).

Maybe the TOS and the FAQ are contradicting each other then that is another sign of scam.

PTC is free to Join, free to signup, but if a PTC sites are requiring you to pay them before you can cashout you earnings, tha is one sign of scam, its up to you if you are willing to pay, but I have to look for some reviews if they are really a paying site, ot I just convert my earnings to Ads as what I done. But there are site that requiring you to upgrade and pay for your premium in order to get payed, example is the Isabelmarco, Isabelmarco is a paying site.

(click Here to visit my PTC blogs)

If the site is a legitimate site it is not yet safe to say that they are not a scam, but the guide at the top on how to determine a scam PTC site is effetive.

It is not yet guaranteed that if the sites are had their Forum, TOS, FAQ is not a scam site, because some PTC scam site are also have forum , tos, and faq, but as I said that is one on how to determine if the PTC site is a scam site.

I was already Scammed, because I want to earn a big money I register and register without reading their TOS, Their FAQ, and not looking for their Forum., but latter I just found that there is such thing that scam PTC site, I thought that all the site are paying, instead that I earn, I found myself hoping for nothing, and learned to determine on how to detect a scam site from reading the Blogs of other members who were scammed too.

(My PTC Blogs)

But I said to myself, "its free and they didn't get money from me but the money of the advertisers who trust them".. But no I was really scammed!, How they scammed me?, well they scam my effort , they scam my hope, my time, etc..

Well thats a simple TIPS on how to determine the scam PTC site.
But not yet, even the legitimate PTC site turns to be scam. What? yes! How? Well it almost happen if the site is forsale and the new Admin will say something as scapegoat that the former Admin scam themember and without His Knowledge(new Admin) that there are many members left behind asking for payment.

Closing PTC site; Some PTC site are also closing. Why? because they can no longer afford to pay their member and desided to close the site, and we PTC clickers branded them as scam, but not really scam they were only have no enough money to pay their member.

So even the legit PTC site have the tendency of turning to scam because they can nolonger afford to pay their member, but not really scammer, they only can no longer pay their member.

So some precaution at the above is one way of determining the scam site.

I just join and say to myself "that the strong PTC site will be left standing and pay their member.

I was already immuned to scam and not worrying anymore if the site is scam or not. Well the above simple TIPS on determining the scam site is enough.

PTC is just like the ordinary Ads agency, just the same as the conventional Advertising company that putting their Ads anywhere, and some day these Ads agency will run out of fund for their employee, for their operational cost and force to close. In ordinary Ads agency, You are watching their Ads without pay. In PTC you are watching their Ads with pay.

So start signup, start register now and start earning money..

HURRY..   (My PTC Blogs)
